• Battlefield Simulation:
  Pyrotechnic simulators allow cost effective and safe training with weapons and equipment by realistically simulating the effects of weapons and munitions. CHEMRING DEFENCE has developed and produced weapon effect and hit simulators for all major Target Engagement Systems and provides a wide variety of effect simulators that help create realistic battlefield scenarios. This includes the simulation of firing signatures of man-portable anti-tank weapons.
  
  
• Minefield Breaching Systems:
  A worldwide proliferation of land mines and their easy availability represents a high risk in humanitarian and military scenarios. Depending on an urgency given, light, portable and readily available means are needed. CHEMRING DEFENCE Portable Explosive Minefield Breaching Systems (PEMBS) are the solution of choice. CHEMRING DEFENCE PEMBS have been fielded and are in service with a number of NATO-countries and other customers.
  
  
• Illumination & Signaling
  Most battlefield communication nowadays is conducted via electronic media. Nonetheless, many situations still call for the use of optical and acoustic signals based on pyrotechnics. CHEMRING DEFENCE over many years has acquired a great deal of expertise in development and manufacturing pyrotechnic devices for signaling, marking and illuminating.
